Chick-fil-A Announces New Ontario Location Amidst Rapid Expansion

Popular Chicken Chain Plans to Open New Restaurant in Ontario, Ohio

Chick-fil-A has officially selected a site in Ontario, Ohio, marking a significant step in its ongoing expansion across the state.

The new restaurant is slated to be constructed on a vacant lot adjacent to Pet Supplies Plus, near the intersection of North Lexington-Springmill Road and Village Mall Drive.

Preliminary plans indicate the establishment will encompass approximately 4,375 square feet, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating areas, 45 parking spaces, and a dual-lane drive-thru to accommodate high customer demand.

Ontario Zoning Inspector Benji Hall confirmed that the project is in its early stages, with Chick-fil-A submitting its plan review application to the city on October 23.

"There's still a lot that needs to happen," Hall stated. "But it's very exciting for Ontario. There's a lot of growth happening right now."

Chick-fil-A has been gauging local interest through its food truck presence in the area since 2019.

"The food truck was sort of a trial run to see how Chick-fil-A would do in the area," Hall explained.

If all proceeds as planned, the restaurant is projected to open between October and December of 2026.

Mayor Kris Knapp expressed enthusiasm about the development, noting that Ontario's growth has been fueled by listening to residents and partnering closely with businesses.

"We are glad to have Chick-fil-A join the Ontario community," Knapp said.

This announcement aligns with Chick-fil-A's broader strategy to expand its footprint in Ohio.

In August 2025, the company revealed plans to open 25-30 new locally owned and operated restaurants across the state by the end of 2027, aiming to create up to 3,000 full- and part-time jobs.

Ontario's new Chick-fil-A will join a wave of recent developments in the area, including Raising Cane's, Starbucks, and ongoing improvements at The Ontario Center.

Residents can look forward to the addition of Chick-fil-A's signature hospitality and menu offerings as the project progresses.
