Mankind Murals Founder Recognized for Impact on Ohio's Arts Education |
Luke Beekman, founder of Mankind Murals, has been named the 2025 State Winner of the Distinguished Citizen for Arts Education award by the Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA).
The OAEA will honor Beekman and other award recipients at the annual awards banquet on November 14, part of the state conference at 350 N High St, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
Beekman's contributions to arts education in Ohio are exemplified by projects like the "Driving Mansfield Skyline" mural, a vibrant depiction of downtown Mansfield's architecture, dedicated in December 2024.
The OAEA, Ohio's leading professional organization for visual arts educators, includes members from various educational levels and institutions. Its mission is to foster a community for visual arts educators by promoting professional growth and leadership.
Each year, the OAEA recognizes individuals outside the traditional education and visual arts fields who have made significant contributions to art education. Beekman's selection underscores his impactful work in enriching Ohio's arts education landscape.
Congratulations to Luke Beekman for his dedication and achievements in advancing arts education in Ohio. |
