Mansfield Sets Trick-or-Treat for October 31

Citywide event scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Mansfield has officially scheduled its annual Trick-or-Treat event for Thursday, October 31, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Residents participating are encouraged to turn on their porch lights during these hours to welcome trick-or-treaters.

Mayor Jodie A. Perry emphasized the importance of safety, reminding drivers to exercise extra caution as children will be walking through neighborhoods during the event.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, the city offers the following recommendations:

– Participation is voluntary; residents should only join if they feel comfortable.

– If you or your child are feeling unwell or have symptoms of illness, it's advisable to refrain from participating.

– Opt for costumes without rubber or plastic masks that might obstruct vision.

– Stick to the designated event times and stay within familiar neighborhoods.

– Travel in small groups and ensure children are accompanied by an adult.

– Accept only wrapped candies and inspect all treats before consumption.

Trick-or-Treat provides an opportunity for the community to come together, offering a fun and safe environment for families to celebrate Halloween.

The City of Mansfield wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Halloween.
